Austin, Rugby, Destry, Gambler, Rowdy and Piper. His temperament is to die for and loves the world!! He is a 2 time GRAND SWEEPSTAKES WINNER, A BEST IN SHOW PUPPY WINNER, and following in true Kasaan fashion...a SPECIALTY winner!! He added being a multiple BOB winner from the puppy classes!!

He completed his American championship at the tender age of 16 months! And now has added the coveted title GRAND CHAMPION to his name!! ,

He is a good size boy, with incredible feet and bone, And his beautiful off stand off coat is talked about among the breeders. As we just don't see this gorgeous type of coat anymore!! PHOENIX has lovely movement and a correct tail!

Still doing well as veteran of 11.5 yrs, PHOENIX is enjoying his life as the Patriarch of Kasaan.   All while, letting his kids  make  their mark and carry on his legacy across the USA and the world.

AUSTIN 1995 #1 Great Lakes Class dog and 1998 #1 Malamute Stud Dog. He finished his American Championship with 3.4pt majors and his Canadian Championship in 3 shows. He is a Grand Sweeps Winner and following in the Kasaan tradition he was the National #1 Stud dog for 1998. He has sired numerous BOB, Specialty, and Group winners. Proving winners, produce winners!!! After an absence of 4 years from the show ring Austin made an appearance at the 2001 AMCA Regional and National Specialties .and impressed everyone.

It is with great sadness and flowing tears that I report the passing of one of the MOST wonderful dogs brought to this earth....AUSTIN...A/C Ch.Terrapin Kasaan's Look 'O Fortune, CGC, ROM.. Austin lost his battle to renal failure today, March 26, 2007 after 3 LONG years at the age of 13.

He was sired by my DESTRY..BIS BISS A/C Ch. Storm Kloud's Fortune O'Kasaan, ROM and out of Cheryl Paterson's TERRAPIN... BIS, BISS A/C Ch.Byeyo's Champagne 'N Ice, CD ROM, CAM.. For all of you who knew him, or bred to him, you know what an absolutely WONDERFUL dog he was!! Austin was our housedog and 'puppy sitter' to all the Kasaan babies. Those soft eyes and gentle woo's will forever be in grained in our hearts and souls. His show career was impressive as hell, however, it was his producing record that excelled. Top Producing AMCA stud dog, by age 4. He sired numerous BOB , Group winner, group placers, and Specialty winners. He finished his American championship with 3 back to back 4 point majors, a Grand Sweeps win and his Canadian title in one weekend.

For me, the biggest pinnacle in his life was just being AUSTIN!! MY best friend, listener to ALL my good AND bad days, couch snuggler and of course the official Kasaan greeter when coming home from work. AND for him...I was his 'main squeeze'. Not very receptive at first to the new man in my life 7 years ago, Austin soon became Steve's BEST friend!! Who wouldn't be with ice cream every night and those long pats and cuddles. It became apparent to Austin, I now had to share my life with 2 men!!

Yes, today was again a VERY hard day and the decision to let him go was one of the toughest ones I have ever had to make. And each time as these grand old dogs get older..the days go by faster and before you know it, we are saying our final goodbyes. Hoping for just one more day. One more lick to the face and maybe even just one more high five with those big huge feet. And then there is that last huge cuddle telling them that everything will be better now.

So, when you look into those soft loving brown eyes, remember that our dogs give us more than we can ever give to them. UNCONDITIONAL love and complete understanding, NO matter what happens in our every day life!

THANK YOU Austin for all those fantastic, unconditional loving years you gave to me!! You will always be in my heart and my thoughts FOREVER. And as a good friend said to me tonight...God will welcome another handsome boy to Heaven!!

Fly came to us in the fall of 2003 from the 'land down under'... Australia. His first show out, he was awarded WD from the 6-9 puppy class. After that, he was on a roll..... Shown at the 50th anniversary 2003 AMCA National Specialty, he went RWD at the Regional !! Fly followed this up with a GrandSweepstakes win in Cleveland a few weeks later and is needing only his majors to finish his American Championship. After completion of his American title, he will then be the FIRST Australian bred Alaskan Malamute to achieve this prestigious title. THANK YOU to Jaye Jeffers and Robert Thinius for allowing us to show and love this gorgeous boy and bringing back some old lineage, so valuable, to Kasaan Kennels.

Fly finished his American title at the Christmas cluster in Jackson, Ms December2005. He finished in grand style with a 4 and a 5 pt major win! We are very pleased to announce Fly IS the FIRST Australian bred Alaskan Malamute to finish an AMERICAN championship!!!

Fly is now enjoying his retired show life as a couch potato in Tucson, Arizona. He is OFA GOOD and has his CERF and CHD clearances.. We have frozen semen on Fly and is available to approved bitches.

Gambler started out with a bang. His first show out was a 5pt Specialty win at 19 months. He is undefeated from the Bred-by class and finished his International title in 3 straight shows with V1 ratings.

Gambler finished his Am title in 6 straight shows, and is a multi Breed, Group Placer and Specialty winning dog. Gambler is currently ranked #5 nationally for 2001, earning him the prestige of participating in the AMCA 2001 Top 20 event. His daughter, Maiyah, finished her championship with 2 Specialty wins and 4 Grand Sweeps wins!!! Maiyah, following in her fathers paw steps, wins BOS at the 2001 National Specialty!! In November 2000, at only three years of age, he won BOB at the AMCA National Specialty in Wisconsin.

Granite Acquiring 3 majors along the way to his American championship, with one of those being a 5 pt Specialty win! This was done all in one weekend AND out of the 6-9 puppy class!!! Which gave Granite the prestigious title and honor of being AMCA's TOP PUPPY DOG for 2002!!

Granite is the sire to over 25  champions to date, including his daughter POPPY Ch. Kasaan's Fortune 'N The Making.. Who herself finished from the 6-9 puppy class!! And was a top ranked puppy in the USA for 2005And PEPPER Ch. Kasaan's Spice'N Up The Fortune

Granite is also the sire of the multiple BEST IN SHOW puppy at the 2009 World Dog Show out of our own Bugs~~Ch. PowerPaw Kasaan's Sweet'N T' Fortune!!! He is the sire of Specialty winners, BOB winners, BIS winners, Group Winners and Group placers!!

Granite who is now 12 years of age (June 2013) is still producing amazing children and who himself is proving, he is not getting older...only better!!. Granite was awarded BEST IN VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES at the 2011 AMCA National Specialty Regional, And just recently went BEST IN VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES at both GLAMC Specialties in May 2013!!

Granite is OFA'd EXCELLENT, and has his CERF and CHD clearances. He is leaving his mark as a prepotent stud dog, throwing huge bone, lovely big round feet and dark almond eyes. CH Kasaan's Capture The Fortune WWPD

Rio was shown at his very first show at Louisville, KY March 2001 in the 6-9 month class. Born on September 6, 1999, Rio is a Bounder x Ciara son. Typical of his lineage, he matured slowly and although he picked up points from the puppy class was let grow up before coming back out and finishing at 3 years of age. At 25.5 inches he is a little over standard size. His colour is called a Silver and White, and he has a terrifically thick coat with harsh guard hair. Typical of the breed, 

Rio was highly intelligent and loved to work and be challenged. He used to regularly go for fun runs in harness, and was a proven weight puller, having pulled a personal best of 23.75 times his body weight in competition (inside venue on carpet).He had the sweetest temperament, was a terrific influence on our young adults and is just a cool dog to be around.

Skygarr not only my first Malamute purchased from Storm Kloud Kennels, but my foundation stud dog as well. He was a multiple Best of Breed winner, Specialty BOB winner, Group winner and placer both in the US and Canada.

Noted for his SUPERB correct movement, Skygarr attracted judges and breeders alike. He passed on his winning and producing traits to his sons and daughters. Every champion out of Skygarr was a SPECIALTY winner themselves. Truly what a Special is made of ..... Skygarr was just that!!! A top winning Special and producer in his time, Sky will always be ranked #1 in my life, and will always hold that SPECIAL place in my heart !!! I was truly FORTUNE to own such a magnificent dog !!

BLISS is a singleton out of my  2014 Grand Futurity Winner RORY ~GCH. Kasaan's Your Fortune Awaits and 2011 Grand Futurity Winner  FENDI~~Kasaan's Frost The Fortune. 

From the beginning , BLISS was everything I had hoped for in a show bitch.  BONE, HUGE feet, amazing temperament, lovely headpiece and correct coat.  Adding in that exceptional  movement known to the  Kasaan dogs.

BLISS started out with a Grandsweepstakes win at  the Genesse GLAMC specialty in 2017.  Followed up with several more BOS  Sweepstakes wins.  She finished her championship  in grand style by going BOW for a 5pt major at the Great Lakes Area Specialty in February  2018!  Finishing her title before 16 mons of age. 

I am truly 'BLESS'ed to have BLISS share my life.

Prada is a Grandsweepstakes winner and multiple BOS in sweeps winner.  She finished her championship in limited showing and was AMCA #1 puppy bitch in 2017.

BUGS came to Kasaan Kennels in November 2004. She is the granddaughter of Bis Biss Ch. Nanuke's Revolutionary (Ben) & BIS, BISS Ch. Barrenfield's Major Knockout (K.O.)! Bugs was awarded RWB first time out (6.5 months) in the 6-9 puppy class in Feb 2005. Since then she has acquired 3 major reserves and a Best Junior Puppy at the Mideast Alaskan Malamute Specialty April 15, 2005.We are pleased to announce that BUGS was awarded Winners Bitch & Best of Winners at the Monroe K.C. Supported entry Sept 30, 2006 for a 5 pt major ! This completed her American championship and was the 1st homebred champion for PowerPaw Kennels. BUGS finished her title with 2, 5 pt majors ( SPECIALTY wins) and was Best of Winners both times!! 

Bugs was ranked as one of the TOP winning Specials bitch for the 1st half of 2007!! She is a multi Best Of Breed winner, Group winner and Group placer!!

Emma... is a BOB winner from the 6-9 puppy class over Nationally ranked Specials!! She also completed her Canadian championship in just a few shows before 2 years of age. Emma is noted for her incredible movement, bone and has a temperament to die for.

As an adult, Emma was out in the Specials ring occasionally, adding some nice BOB wins to her already lovely show career.

EMMA ~~ age 13yrs (June 2013) has been enjoying the retired life as a 'house dog' and has truly accepted this role with open paws!!..

She is the dam of Specialty, Best in Show, Bred By Exhibitor champions, and multi BOB champions. Ch. Kasaan's Timeless Elegance (HOLLI) and Ch. Kasaan's Iced Fortune (FLURRIE) who still reside at KASAAN.. Emma is a daughter of our BOUNDER and a granddaughter of AUSTIN, passing the wonderful traits of her lineage on to her children.

FENDI represents some of the old dogs of Kasaan. A dead ringer for her mom, FLURRIE and grandmother EMMA, FENDI has proven she has it too. A Grand Futurity winner, a BOS sex in Sweeps at the AMCA National specialty, and has garnered 6pts and a major on the way to her championship. She has also picked up 3 major reserves at Specialties!!
Taking time out to play in the whelping box, she will be heading back out in 2016 to finish her title.
FENDI is noted for her outstanding and correct movement and has the typical Kasaan laid back temperament. HUGE feet and bone and a lovely headpiece! She is the epitome of Kasaan dogs!!

CH Kasaan's Iced Fortune

FLURRIE is out of our EMMA and TITAN ( Ch. Totem SnoShire's Ice Slick, WTD, ROM.) She represents a lovely blend of old Kasaan and a hint of Nanuke. Flurrie has beautiful bone and feet and moves like her mother on the side, so typical of Kasaan dogs.

She is a very substantial girl with a gorgeous off stand off coat and a lovely head piece that gives her the all around total package of what we strive for at Kasaan.

Her showy attitude makes her a dream come true show bitch and has proven us correct in the show ring. , Flurrie has been awarded 7 WB and 2 BOB over a top ranked Specials!! She has done all of this from the 12-18 month. And is only needing her majors to finish. Flurrie's BIGGEST win of all has been her recent BEST IN SHOW BRED BY EXHIBITOR on October 1, 2006 at the Monroe K.C. !!!

She won the Bred By Exhibitor class ALL 3 days ( Specialty /Supported entries) and went RWB 2 out of the 3 days.. Flurrie was WB at the Cleveland 2006 Winter cluster for a 4 pt major!! She completed her championship April 22, 2007 by going WB & BOW for a 3 pt major.

Haylee ... #1 Great Lakes Area Specials Bitch and #3 National Specials Bitch 1997. She was truly the Princess of Kasaan Kennels following in her mother and grandmothers paw-prints. Her love for the show ring was evident, as she was a multi BOB, Group winner and Group placer. Haylee was also ranked in the Top 5 Specials Bitches in 1998. 

Although Haylee never whelped a litter, her niece EMMA has produced Haylee type puppies and that same 'show' attitude that made Haylee the show stopper she was.

'Holli' is our 'Nash' and 'Emma' daughter. She was pointed from the puppy class and finished her Am Championship with a 3 pt major win. She was awarded WB & BOW, Keeping in the Kasaan tradition of Specialty winners, Holli herself was WB at the Houston Alaskan Malamute Specialty in August 2005!! 

She was bred (June 2008) to Ch. Wild Wind's Royal Mounty WM, ROM, and produced our gorgeous girl 'Chloee" Ch.Kasaan's Royal Fortune, co-owned with our dear friend Donelle Roberts-Burrill and has done some FANTASTIC winning from the 6-9 puppy class and now as an adult!! 'Holli' has now entered her retirement years and is enjoying the role very much. An excellent babysitter to the Kasaan babies, she has and always will be a star here at Kasaan!!!.

Maiyah at under 2 yrs of age Maiyah won BOS at the 2001 AMCA National Specialty. Kasaan Kennels is very proud to have won BOB at the 2000 National with Gambler and now his daughter has followed in his pawprints with her tremendous win. Maiyah came back in 2005 and again took the prestigious honor of BOS at the AMCA 2005 National Specialty held in Columbus, Indiana.!! A very special thanks to Rick & Bev Pfeiffer for Maiyah. Maiyah was titled at 16 months of age in 6 shows, getting her first 14 points at 3 back to back Specialty Shows with two 5 point majors and a 4 point major!! She is a 4 time Grand Sweeps winner and was 2001 AMCA #1 Class Bitch . 

Maiyah has continued her impressive show career ....She is the only bitch to date to win the Cleveland Cluster (2 specialties included) ALL 4 days! 

RWB at the 2003 Canadian National...winning WB (5 pts) and WB/BOW/BOS (5 pts) the other 2 days. At the AMCA National Specialty she went AOM recipient 2003 Maiyah also went BOS winner Regional (National Specialty)

PEPPER is a repeat breeding (March 2005) of our POPPY and a full sister to DAISY owned by Al Qantarah's Kennels in Italy. Pepper, like her mother SUGAR has incredible side gait, and a temperament to die for. She has her father's (GRANITE) head piece and his lovely soft expression.

I finally got my wish!!Saeble has very dark eyes, a gorgeous rich sable coat and tremendous side gait. Lovely head piece and an amazing sweet temperament. She is a half sister to our 'MAIYAH' (dam's side) and a half sister to our Destry (sire's side). Wiccah finished her championship with back to back majors and picked up 10 points in 4 straight shows.! Trying the whelping side of things, Wiccah proved to pass on her 'Wwinning' ways to her children. The dam of several champions to date, we expect her outstanding traits and her lovely pedigree to continue for generations to come.

Fast approaching her 8th birthday, Wiccah will be retiring with a very good friend, Molly and will be ruling the roost as her housedog and forever friend!!

Wichita who has always lived up to her name was a multiple Breed winner, Specialty and Group placer. The Dam of group, Specialty and BOB winners and the grand matriarch of Kasaan Kennels. However, more importantly - Wichita was the love of my life and proved she could still do it as a Veteran at 13 years of age!!
Her legacy has continued on through generations and she certainly left her mark on Kasaan Kennels.

There is not a day that doesn't go by that my Wichita is not thought of and her memory will forever live in my heart and mind.
Wichita was a once in a lifetime bitch, and I was very blessed to share 13.5 wonderful years with her.

ZIVAH is out of our lovely girl EFFIE~~ Kasaan's Forever Fortune and Lisa Kellar's beautiful boy JAGGER~~ Ch. SnoShire Polaron's Excalibur!! ZIVAH is a blend of the old Kasaan & Storm Kloud dogs. With a touch of Nanuke to round out everything we wanted from all these GREAT dogs in the PAST!! Viking, Rugby, Lazarus, Granite, Destry, Hell's Angel and Kazman. She has gorgeous dark eyes, phenomenal movement (side gait/coming and going), substance and a show stopping attitude!

Well, in true KASAAN fashion, Zivah proved that she certainly has the complete package!! At the 2009 National, she was awarded 1st in her Futurity 9-12 puppy class, and 1st in her regular 9-12 puppy class . She placed in the sweepstakes classes at both the Regional and the National.. 

Needing to mature and add some coat.....Zivah took the Indy Winter Cluster by storm Feb 2010!! She was WB ALL 4 days including the Great Lakes Area Specialty, BOW 3 out of the 4 days AND was awarded BEST BRED BY EXHIBITOR in the WORKING GROUP!!!!!! Thus, adding the coveted title AMERICAN CHAMPION in front of her name. 4 days, 4 majors!! And doing so at the tender age of 15 months!!
